FSRevolution v1.6 Released!

Hello everyone!

We put out a (somewhat) minor release a few days ago - it’s not exactly a full version upgrade, but it does take care of some important bugs and also adds the following:

• adds additional configuration options to TeleSign in order to control the types of phones that are allowed to use the verification system
• adds an e-mail verification option where users must verify their e-mail address before they can view/complete any offers
• greatly increases admin panel speed by reducing some large object data

FSR Teams Up With CPALead!

We are proud to announce that FSRevolution has partnered with a leader in advertising solutions, CPALead to bring you some tools that will allow you to credit your users instantly with survey offers that update in real-time!

Using CPALead’s “Active Survey Display” tool (a live version is displayed below!) in conjunction with their “Survey Post Back” tool, you will be able to display a list of all the great surveys CPALead has to offer! Here are a few of the details about the system:

• The function of the tool is to automatically manage surveys from our network to your website.
• When a new survey is added or removed, it will be automatically updated in the Active Survey Display and displayed via this tool to your users.
• All surveys are displayed in descending order from the highest to lowest converting surveys.
• Free customer support for your users with an integrated help ticket system. No more answering pesky emails with users having trouble getting paid.
• After your user completes a survey from your Active Survey Display, the survey will automatically be removed from this display on their end. This lets them know the survey cannot be completed twice.

FSRevolution Customizations!

Hello all,

We’re happy to announce that beginning today, FSRevolution will begin accepting customization requests for the software. This service is on a first-come, first-serve basis and turnaround time will be based on our load at the time. To put in your request, please send an e-mail to customizations [at] fsrevolution [dot] com with the following details:

• Name
• Company Name (if applicable)
• E-mail Address
• Address
• Phone Number
• License Key
• Customization Details
• Budget
• Desired Timeframe

If your request does not include all of these details, it will be ignored. If your request does not describe the customization in specific detail, it will be ignored. We can’t help you if you don’t know exactly what you want.

FSRevolution reserves the right to deny any customization request we feel is not worth the time and effort. We also reserve the right to include any code we develop into the main version of FSR, unless other agreements are reached. If your customization is not included in new versions of FSR, it will be necessary to integrate your customization again which will include a fee based on a percentage of the previous billed amount for the customization.

FSRevolution: v1.5 Released!

Hello All,

We’re happy to announce that version 1.5 is now out for release! To download the update, follow these steps:

- Log-in to your client area at http://www.fsrevolution.com/order/client_login.php
- Scroll down to “Recent Order Activity” and click on “View” for the FSRevolution (1 Site) or (Unlimited) product
- Under “Your Licenses” click on “View & Download” for your license.
- Under “File Name” click on “Download” next to FSRevolution v1.5 (Base or Unlimited)
- If you’re unable to download because your support/update period has expired, you will need to renew this from the order area before you can download the product.

A FEW VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:

- It’s highly recommended that you make a backup of EVERYTHING before you do this update. We are not responsible for data lost because of this update. We’ve tested it many times in many situations, but there are always times where something doesn’t work for one reason or another. You should be prepared for this.

- As usual, if you have changed your user templates in ANY way, DO NOT upload the /smarty/templates or /smarty/templates/cash folders. You will, however need to upload everything else in /smarty for the update to work. We’ve also provided a text file as a guide for you to update your templates in the main directory (changed user-side templates.txt).

- Follow the update instructions as normal from the README BEFORE YOU UPLOAD THE UPDATE.txt file.

- Restriction of offer displaying by country is now built into the software. This means that users registered in a certain country will only see offers from that country. By default, when the update is ran, all offers are added to all countries. If you’d like to modify this in any way, you will need to visit the Manage Countries tab under Manage Sites and select the Assign Offers link from the country list.

- You may notice a slight lag whenever you view a user for the first time. This is because of a new caching mechanism that is being used to store some information about the user in the database, rather than calculate it on the fly. This will eventually speed things up and you’ll notice that if you view a user twice in a row, the second access should be much faster. We also highly recommend setting up the new Cron Job feature so that this task is done automatically without you having to view a user in the first place. Cron jobs will also run the new batch processing for mass e-mails as well as DirectTrack instant crediting.

- We will begin accepting customization orders in a couple of weeks after we’ve made sure all of the bugs are worked out of the new version. The way this will work is that you’ll send in your customization request and we’ll send back a quote. If the quote is accepted, your job will go into the queue. After the job is finished we will integrate the customization for you. This service will NOT include re-integration of your customizations with subsequent version releases that affect your customization. A separate fee will be assessed for that - most likely a small percentage of the original quoted price for the job.

- There are two addons now available for this new release: dynamic signature banners ($25) and integration of TeleSign’s phone verification system ($75). These are available from the Extras section of the order page.

v1.5 Release Date: February 11th!

We’ve finished up all but a few remaining features and should be finished with those by the end of the week. After some general testing and debugging, we’re going to be releasing v1.5 on February 11th! We can’t wait to get this out to everyone! Here are some of the things we’ve finished since the last post:

• Implementation of a local license key system to basically eliminate all remote calls to the FSR server
• Admin offer pagination and filtering options

We’re about 50% of the way through all of the features and we’re now “trimming the fat” a little bit to include only the features we feel are extremely important for the new version. We think you’ll be extremely pleased with some of the changes being made. We hope to release in just a couple of weeks.
Also, we’re happy to announce that after this version is released, we will be accepting customization orders! If you feel that there’s a feature you just have to have, but don’t think it would be well suited for mainstream release, we’ll be happy to integrate it into FSR for you. You’ll simply need to e-mail us all of the details for the customization and we’ll quote you a price. Please note, however, that your customization will not be integrated into new releases automatically. It may take some extra work to do so, so unfortunately we may need to charge a fee each time it is re-integrated into the new version.

And yes, we’re still working on new features. We’re going to drop the 0 from the version numbering system and jump straight to 1.5. Start submitting features requests to requests at fsrevolution dot com.
